The destructive part of all of this, the part that makes me burn, is that we have some fantastic minds and souls here at the school, and its the 'adults' who put this nonsense up all over the place. It certainly doesn't help, and in some cases it stunts intellectual growth.
Absolutely correct, low expectations are intellectual cancer as is being front loaded with excuses. I blame much of it on academic bureaucrats who are neither teachers, not scholars.
